A Second War Period Japanese Battle Flag Auction engraver marked "TSM LORDONNOIS GRAVEURThis is a very well preserved Second War period Japanese battle flag, constructed of two pieces of white cotton connected by a row of reinforced machine stitching, with a red sun insignia dyed in the centre, with three triangular tan coloured leather patches sewn into one side, each stamped with a hole bearing a magnetic metal eyelet through which is looped a braided cotton string for attachment to a pole, measuring approximately 1405 mm (w) x 2200 mm
