Raised in 1685 as The Earl of Peterborough's Regiment of Horse they fought at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, they were renamed The Queen's Own Regiment of Horse in 1715 and the 2nd Queens Regiment of Dragoon Guards in 1746. Finally designated as 2ND DRAGOON GUARDS (QUEEN'S BAYS) in 1767 until 1921. Here we have a trooper's red tunic with white collar and cuffs, complete with King's Crown Buttons, updated in 1901,
